Robin Lokhorst

Robin’s involvement with JAROblue is mainly business focused.  However, that doesn’t keep him from making an effort to be around and help out where he can.

He has spent most of his life here in Calgary, but did live in the UK for three years while attending law school. By day Robin is a successful lawyer and has been practicing law for the last fifteen years. Although he loves law, he has always had a passion for food. In fact his mother has always said that he should have been a chef.

Through representing several different restaurateurs, Robin became fascinated with the business side of owning a restaurant.  His fascination and interest grew and Robin knew that he wanted to be a restaurant owner himself.

Robin has loved every minute of being a part of JAROblue, and enjoys the constant challenge to stay on top. He believes that to be successful one must constantly challenge his systems and beliefs in order to improve.

Although Robin works hard, he also looks forward to free time. Often he will take advantage of this time and spend it with his two sons Ben and Josh.  Robin also loves to take any opportunity to travel and has already been to many places all over the globe. Still, Robin says that the most exciting thing is being proud of JAROblue and having diners say that they love it.
